A youth faces charges after a weapons search this morning in Halifax.
At 7:30 a.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section conducted a search of a residence in the 2400 block of Brunswick Street. Officers recovered a loaded handgun from the residence.
A 16-year-old male youth was arrested at the scene without incident. He is facing four weapons-related charges and six breaches of court orders. He was remanded into custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court on Monday.
