Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Sections are investigating a report of an assault with a weapon earlier this afternoon in Halifax.
At 12:04 p.m., a 14-year-old girl was walking through the parking lot at the Halifax Shopping Center when she was approached by a man and sprayed with a sensory irritant. Emergency Health Services were called to treat the victim at the scene. The suspect fled on foot heading towards Bayers Road and is described as being a white man, approximately 20-years-old, 5’10” with a thin build and brown hair that is short on the sides and spiked up on top. At the time of the incident he was wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers.
