On July 23 at 1:56 am, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Gottingen St. and Portland Place. A 23 year old man was shot. He was transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries. He was standing inside the Sea Horse Tavern when there was an altercation outside between two men, one man was being robbed and shots were fired. A round went through the wall and hit the victim.

HRP Forensic Identification Unit as well as the Integrated General Investigative Unit have attended and are continuing the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and police are still at the scene.
