Chief Jean-Michel (JM) Blais will retire police horse ‘Patrol Cruiser’ tomorrow. The media and public are invited to attend the ceremony. Details of the event are as follows:
Who: Chief Blais; Police Horse ‘Patrol Cruiser,’ affectionately known as ‘Cruise;’ past and current Mounted Unit officers
What: Cruise’s Retirement
Where: The Stables, Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers, 1690 Bell Road, Halifax
When: Friday, October 31, 2014 at 12 noon
Why: To acknowledge Cruise’s commitment to HRP and our community over the past 6+ years
What else: Csts. Chris Tracey and Dianne Woodworth, Cruise’s current and former rider respectively, will be in attendance to speak to media about their experiences with Cruise
