Halifax Regional Police has a male youth in custody in relation to a suspicious person complaint that occurred this morning in Halifax.
At 10:39 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male youth who was possibly in possession of a gun at Citadel High School who had since left. At approximately 10:46 a.m., patrol officers located a 17-year-old male youth from Dartmouth in the area of South Park Street near Sackville Street where he was arrested without incident. He was in possession of a handgun and is currently in custody for weapons-related offences.
The youth will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court tomorrow and the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
