Police charge man with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle GO#21-82454

On July 9 at approximately 5 p.m., Halifax Regional Police received multiple calls regarding a truck driving in a dangerous manner in the Clayton Park and Fairview area. It was learned that the truck struck an SUV on Dunbrack Street at Albert Walker Drive, Halifax causing the SUV to flip several times. The four occupants suffered minor injuries. Police then observed the vehicle fleeing the area and the driver refused to stop. A short time later the vehicle was located heavily damaged on Simcoe Place. Witnesses pointed out the driver to Police, and he was taken into custody after a brief struggle.

Peter Garth Hill of Dartmouth is facing the following charges Impaired Operation of a Conveyance 320.14(1)(a)C.C., Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle 320.13(1)C.C., Flight from Police (vehicle) 320.17 C.C., Mischief 430 (4) C.C., Resist Arrest 129(a) C.C, will appear in court at a later date.
