Police have charged a second man with second degree murder following a homicide in Halifax last week.
On Nov. 6 at approximately 3 p.m., Timothy James Jefferies, 57, was arrested for the murder of Brian David Johnson.
This is the second arrest in Johnson’s murder. On Nov. 4, Derrick Eugene Munroe, 56, was also arrested and charged with second degree murder. Police do not anticipate further arrests in this investigation.
On Oct. 29, Brian David Johnson, 70, was physically assaulted in his residence on Richmond Street. Johnson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service confirmed the manner of death to be homicide.
Jefferies was arrested in Halifax. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today.
