At approximately 10 p.m., officers on patrol noticed smoke coming from an abandoned building on the corner of Wyse Road and Pelzant Street in Dartmouth. HRM Fire and Emergency was called and the officers attempted to ensure no one was in the abandoned building. The fire was quickly extinguished and preliminary investigation indicates that the fire is suspicious in nature. Investigators from HRM Fire and Emergency and police will be on scene in the morning to conduct a more thorough investigation. No one was in the building and no one was injured during the incident.
