A man and a woman are facing charges as a result of a drug search overnight in Williamswood.

At 1:20 a.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Guns and Gang Unit and the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit conducted a search of a residence in the 2400 block of Old Sambro Road. Officers seized a quantity of crack cocaine, mature marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia. A man and a woman were arrested at the scene without incident.

Thirty-year-old Brandon Topple of Williamswood and 20-year-old Sarah Heather Bowridge of Herring Cove, are each charged possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and cultivation of cannabis. They were held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
