Case 24391 - 1029 Tower Road, Halifax



Application by ZZap Consulting requesting to amend an existing Development Agreement on lands at 1029 Tower Road (PID 00142935), Halifax to allow the subdivision of the lands on a registered heritage property.


The applicant has applied for a non-substantial amendment to the existing Development Agreement on the property (Case 23066) to:
•    Be permitted to subdivide the existing property into two properties; and,
•    Amend Schedule B – Site Plan to permit the removal of the sunken terrace on the modern building and the instatement of window wells. 

The revised Site Plan (provided below) shows the location of the proposed subdivision and the proposed window wells on the modern building.


The application will be considered as a non-substantial amendment to a Development Agreement, which will be reviewed and evaluated by the Development Officer.


Municipal staff have reviewed and requested minor adjustments to the Site Plan submitted by the applicant to include setbacks and lot sizes.  A sign has been posted on the proposed site with contact information and directions to access the project website. Municipal staff will be accepting feedback on this application until September 30, 2022.
