TAKE NOTICE THAT NORTH WEST COMMUNITY COUNCIL did, on SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 approve the following application:
MINORREV-2024-00431- Request by North West Community Council to add dog daycares as a permitted use in the Light Industrial Zone in the Bedford Plan Area
Any aggrieved person, the Provincial Director of Planning, or the Council of any adjoining municipality may, within fourteen days of the publishing of this notice, appeal to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (902-424-4448) in accordance with the provisions of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter.

Request
North West Community Council initiated an amendment to the Bedford Land Use By-Law to allow for Dog Day Care use within the ILI (Light Industrial) Zone in the Bedford Plan Area.
Proposal
There have been several requests to operate dog day care facilities within the Bedford Plan area. Currently, this use is not permitted in any zone within the Bedford Land Use By-Law. Therefore, the North West Community Council has requested that staff consider adding this use to the Light Industrial (ILI) Zone within the Bedford Plan area and provide a recommendation report.
Process
The application will be considered under the Land Use By-Law Amendment process.
