Application by WM Fares Architects to amend the development agreement on 732 Old Sackville Road / 8 Walker Avenue (PID 41077785), to replace the commercial space (2 units) located on the ground floor of the development with 4 residential units.

The applicant wishes to initiate a non-substantive amendment to the existing development agreement on the lands of 732 Old Sackville Road / 8 Walker Avenue, in order to replace the 2-ground floor commercial units within the two buildings (1 commercial unit per building) with 2 residential units on the ground floor of each building (4 total residential units). The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
•    Amend the existing development agreement to allow 2 commercial units on the ground floor to be converted into 4 residential units.
•    No changes proposed to the exterior or location of the building on-site.
•    No changes proposed to the landscaping on-site. 
•    Two 4-storey building with 70 total residential units per building

The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the floor plans, elevations, project rationale, and the existing development agreement.

The application will be considered under the Development Agreement Amendment Process

Status

The proposal is currently being reviewed in detail by staff and other agencies. Next steps will include working with the applicant to incorporate feedback received from the review and drafting the amending documents and report for the project.
