Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The North Preston Community Centre is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the community this weekend with a fun-filled day for the whole family!
Residents are invited to join in the activities starting with a free pancake breakfast at the community centre at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Throughout the day there will be family fun races, bouncy castles, face painting, fitness samplers, children’s games, a mobile skate park and music from on-site deejay, MC Doc Smurf. From 9 a.m. until noon, there will be information booths featuring a variety of community partners, the Community Health & Wellness Centre and the RCMP. Live stage performances featuring community members and local band, Natural Talent, will begin at 3 p.m. The day wraps up with a big-screen movie at 6:30 p.m., followed by fireworks.
