After using any trail, greenway or park within the Halifax region, individuals, families, community groups and schools are encouraged to enter online and record their participation to be eligible for prizes. The challenge will take place between October 1 – 31, 2016. Get outside and get active!

With over 50 Community and Recreation Centres around the municipality, recreation services offers a variety of recreation programs to children, youth, adults, and seniors all year! From little kickers soccer, to swimming and skating lessions, to zumba or photography; there's a recreation program available for everyone!
Learn about our supervised beaches, outdoor pools and splash pads. Lifeguards are on duty from June 30 until August 31.
Our summer camps are focused on fun, with every day consisting of a balanced mix of activities to stimulate the mind, get the creative juices flowing, and allow the participants to be active in a safe, supervised environment.
In addition to 25 municipally-operated recreation centres, there are also 25 community-operated recreation centres.
