Summer 2025 Programs & Camps

Use the filter in the top right of the list to narrow down your search criteria. 

We've launched a new recreation registration platform!

• We recommend registering from a desktop or tablet using Chrome as the browser.
• The easiest way to register is to use individual course codes. These codes are available under Summer 2025 Camps &  Programs.
• If you do not have an active facility membership at one of our municipal recreation centres, the Canada Games Centre, Cole Harbour Place, the St. Margaret's Centre or Zatzman Sportsplex, you will need to create a new profile.
  • Create your new profile now!
• If you have an active facility membership at one of our municipal recreation centres, the Canada Games Centre, Cole Harbour Place, the St. Margaret's Centre or Zatzman Sportsplex, your profile information has been transitioned to the new platform.
  • IMPORTANT: To ensure your membership continues uninterrupted after May 31, 2025 you must input your payment information before that date. Otherwise you membership will be invalid.  
  • Note: You will need to set up a new password. The minimum password length is 8 characters and it must contain uppercase, lowercase, a number and a punctuation mark.
• All facility members will receive this email coming from Halifax Regional Municipality <communication@xplorrecreation.com>:

Registration for Spring 2025

• Recreation Programs, swimming and skating is now ongoing (in the old registration system)

Registration for Summer Camps 2025

• Summer Camps & Programs is now ongoing  (in the new registration system)

Registration for Summer Pools and Beaches 2025

• Tuesday, June 17, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. for Summer Pools and Beaches Sessions 1 &2  (in the new registration system)
• Tuesday, July 22, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. for Beaches Sessions 3 & 4. (in the new registration system)
   

Please Note:

• Registration for the Canada Games Centre, Cole Harbour Place, Zatzman Sportsplex and St Margaret’s Centre takes place on different dates and times. Please visit their websites directly for their registration information.
• Indoor pools include Sackville Sports Stadium, Needham Centre, and Captain William Spry.  Outdoor pools include Halifax Commons Pool,  Bedford Outdoor Pool, and Cole Harbour Outdoor Pool.

Recreation Centres That Can Access the Old System

Until June 30, 2025 you can still access the old system online, in-person or by phone to register or withdraw from spring programs, or to make rental payments. Plus, until March 31, 2025 you can book drop-ins with the old system.

How to Register Online, In-person or by Phone

We offer recreation programs at municipal recreation centres that are owned and operated by the municipality. You can register online by logging in or creating a new account. You can also search for a program or location.

To register in-person visit your nearest HRM-owned and operated Recreation Centre.

To register by phone call our recreation line at 902-490-6666. See the table below for the hours of operation for the phone line. Should you require assistance outside of the hours noted in the table below please contact your local HRM-owned and operated Recreation Centre.
