Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddle Boards

Free Canoe Rentals

• Available on weekends between July 2  to September 25, 2022.
• Rentals available between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 1 hour rentals.
• All safety equipment will be provided.
• One Rental is for one Canoe (accommodates up to 2 adults and 2 small children or 3 adults). 

Rental Process:

All canoe rentals are required to be booked in advance by calling 902-490-6666 or online at www.halifax.ca/myrec. Entry will not be permitted without advance booking. 

When you show up:

• Sign a Canoe/Kayak Waiver form which can be downloaded by clicking here. 
• Provide a current Government issued ID required to borrow the gear

When borrowing a canoe, you must:

• Abide by all safety regulations set out by Transport Canada and St. Mary’s Boat Club
• Stay within the Northwest Arm 

 

Free Stand-up Paddle Board Rentals

• Available on weekends between July 2  to September 25, 2022.
• Rentals available between 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 1 hour rentals.
• All safety equipment will be provided.
• One Rental is for one paddle board.

All Stand-up Paddle Board rentals are required to be booked in advance by calling 902-490-6666 or online at www.halifax.ca/myrec. Entry will not be permitted without advance booking. 

When you show up: 

• Sign a rental waiver form which can be downloaded by clicking here. 
• Provide a current Government issued ID required to borrow the gear.

Group bookings of Canoes or Kayaks

Group bookings of Canoes or Kayaks are available Monday to Friday from July 4- July 29 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Join our staff for a Kayaking tour of the Northwest Arm! 

• Kayaking is for ages 13 and up.
• All safety equipment will be provided.
• All events begin and end at St. Mary’s Boat Club.
