The municipality is continuing its free rural swim programs for residents 3 years and older at supervised municipal beaches and lakes this summer! Programs include an introductory learn-to-swim model and a lifesaving program including Bronze Cross and Intermediate Workplace First Aid.
These programs complement the municipality’s annual swim lesson programs, which also take place at supervised beaches across the region. It also aligns with the recommendations of the Rural Recreation Strategy.

Under the rural swimming program lessons will be offered at:
- Dollar Lake Provincial Park
- Malay Falls Beach Park / Taylor Head Beach
- Webbers Beach / Clam Harbour Beach
- Rainbow Haven Beach &
- Queensland Beach
