At 3:35 p.m.on Thursday, April 17, officers responded to 1595 Barrington Street in relation to a report of a 16-year-old girl being struck by a truck after she attempted to cross Barrington Street from west to east while outside of a crosswalk. She was struck by a north bound truck as the driver did not have time to stop, given that the pedestrian was reported to have run into traffic. The pedestrian received minor injuries and attended the hospital for treatment. She was also issued a ticket under Section 125(3) of the Motor Vehicle Act for a pedestrian moving into path of a vehicle when it is impractical for the vehicle to stop.
