To help with snow removal, Halifax Regional Police is asking residents to stay home during the Heritage Day holiday, if at all possible. Less traffic on the roads will assist with clearing. Snow removal crews worked diligently throughout the night and a lot of the main arteries are clear but some side roads are still narrow and very icy. If you have to be out on the roads, please drive with extreme care when operating your vehicle on HRM roadways.
