Police are issuing a warning regarding the use of illicit drugs.
Since December 31, 2014, police have responded to three incidents in the downtown core involving individuals who were either highly agitated, out-of-control and/or lethargic after it is believed that they consumed illicit drugs. This situation has prompted investigators in the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division to launch an investigation into this matter.
It is unknown at this time if the individuals consumed the same type of drug(s) or if there are any other linkages in the three incidents, however, police remind citizens that the use of illicit drugs is unsafe and detrimental to your health and that their possession is illegal.
