Friday, January 9, 2015 (Halifax, NS) - The Halifax Regional Municipality is warning motorists to drive carefully on their morning commute today and pay attention to rapidly changing weather conditions.

Light snow is falling right now in many areas of Halifax but the conditions are expected to change quickly to rain, making for a slushy, slippery mix on the streets and sidewalks.

Municipal and contracted crews are out now, clearing and salting the streets and sidewalks, depending on the conditions. They will continue throughout the day, as required.

?Motorists are reminded to slow down and allow more time to reach your destination this morning.
