This page lists Halifax Transit service adjustments, including adjustments related to permanent stop relocations and consolidations, scheduling adjustments, and other long-term service changes.
These service adjustments have been broken down into the following categories:
Service Changes Starting May 19, 2025
Halifax Transit will be implementing service changes affecting Halifax, Bedford, and Dartmouth starting May 19, 2025.
New Route Maps and Riders’ Guides will be made available and GTFS feeds will provide updated information to be displayed via third-party transit planning apps.
Schedule Changes
Route 4 will see the time point at Saint Mary's University removed on inbound trips (Lacewood to Dalhousie).
Route 10C will have a Saturday schedule adjustment.
Routing Changes
Route 84 will undergo a routing change to travel along Reconciliation Way. No stops will be impacted.
Route 330 will undergo a routing change to travel along Dunbrack St. No stops will be impacted.
Reinstated Trips
A total of 9 previously cancelled trips will be reinstated.

Bay Changes at Scotia Square
Regional Express Routes 320, 330 and 370 will service Scotia Square Bay 4 instead of Duke & Albemarle.
Routes 2, 7B, 9A/B, 29, 93, 135, 136, 137, 138, 158, 159, 161, 165, 168A/B, 182, 183, 185 and 186 will service different bays at Scotia Square:
- Route 2 (To Water St Terminal) will service Bay 5 instead of Bay 4.
- Route 7B (Inbound/Outbound) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 9A (To Downtown Halifax) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
- Route 9B (To Downtown Halifax) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
- Route 29 (To Point Pleasant Park) will service Bay 5 instead of Bay 4.
- Route 135 (To MSVU) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 136 (To Farnham Gate) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 137 (To Regency Park) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 138 (To Parkland) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 158 (To Portland Hills Terminal) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 159 (To Colby Village) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 161 (To North Preston) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 165 (To Caldwell) will Service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 168A (To Cherry Brook) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 168B (To Cherry Brook) will service Bay 1 instead of Bay 2.
- Route 182 (To Sackville Terminal) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
- Route 183 (To Sackville Terminal) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
- Route 185 (To Sackville Terminal) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
- Route 186 (To Sackville Terminal) will service Bay 2 instead of Bay 1.
Bay Changes at Portland Hills Terminal
Routes 5, 58, 63 and 158 will service different bays at Portland Hills Terminal:
- Route 5 (Inbound/Outbound) will now service Bay 7 instead of Bay 6.
- Route 58 (Inbound/Outbound) will now service Bay 6 instead of Bay 7.
- Route 63 (Inbound/Outbound) will now service Bay 6 instead of Bay 7.
- Route 158 (Inbound/Outbound) will now service Bay 6 instead of Bay 7.
Service Reductions in Effect Until Further Notice
Beginning Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, Halifax Transit temporarily suspended service on three bus routes, and made schedule adjustments to 32 routes.
Effective Nov. 20, 2023, Halifax Transit increased service due to progress made in improving staffing levels. Approximately one-quarter of the previously reduced service was reinstated. Specifically, a total of 26 routes had 55 trips reinstated, with 12 of these routes returning to full service. The following routes had trips reinstated:
Ferry and Access-A-Bus services are not impacted by these service reductions and are expected to continue as scheduled.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, Stop Gottingen St Before Russell St (6783) will be discontinued. Passengers on Route 7A are directed to Stop Gottingen St After Young St (6770). Passengers on Routes 135, 136, 137, 138, 192, 194, and 196 are directed to Stop Young St Before Isleville St (2354).
