In preparing the recommendation to Halifax and West Community Council, the Committee is being asked to advise the degree to whether the replacement and expansion proposal for the existing HRM composting facility impacts the Western Commons Master Plan in consideration of the following:
• phasing of the Western Commons Masterplan implementation;
• buffering and screening; and
• environmental sustainability of the Western Commons.
9.2 COMMITTEE MEMBERS
9.2.1 Dusan Soudek re: Annual reporting on implementation of Regional Park’s Master Plan
Motion:
That the Western Common Advisory Committee recommends that the Halifax and West Community Council recommend that Halifax Regional Council direct staff to report annually on progress towards the implementation of the Regional Park's Master Plan, similar to a requirement to produce an annual report on steps undertaken with respect to the creation of the Blue Mountain - Birch Cove Lakes Regional Park.
