NORTH WEST COMMUNITY COUNCIL

On June 9, 2025, North West Community Council approved the application to enter into a development agreement to allow an 8-storey residential building on the lands at 600 Bedford Highway, Halifax.

Request

Application by ZZap Consulting Inc. for a Development Agreement to allow a 7 to 8-storey residential building on the lands at 600 Bedford Highway, Halifax.

Proposal

The applicant wishes to enter a Development Agreement to allow a 7 to 8-storey residential building. The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
•    96 residential dwelling units
•    104 underground parking stalls
•    Approximately 9 surface parking stalls

The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the proposed building, parking locations, driveway access, and landscaping.

The application will be considered under the Planning Applications Approval Process for Development Agreements.

TAKE NOTICE THAT North West Community Council did, on Monday, June 9, 2025, approve the following:

PLANAPP 2023-00321 - Application by ZZAP Consulting Inc. to enter into a development agreement to allow an 8-storey residential building on the lands at 600 Bedford Highway, Halifax.

Any aggrieved person, the Provincial Director of Planning, or the Council of any adjoining municipality may, within fourteen days of the publishing of this notice on the HRM website, appeal to the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board (902.424.4448), in accordance with the provisions of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter.

This notice was posted to this site on June 10, 2025 in accordance with the requirements of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter.
