Each year, during the week of October 9, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency observes and promotes Fire Prevention Week. This annual campaign, led by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), aims to raise awareness about fire safety through educating on fire hazards and promoting safety practices to reduce fire-related injuries or more serious loss.
