STATEMENT: Mayor Fillmore moves to defer transit fare increase until tap-to-pay is available

Mayor Fillmore introduced an amendment asking Regional Council to defer consideration of the proposed Halifax Transit fare increase until it can be aligned with the implementation of tap-to-pay.
This motion was unanimously approved by Regional Council.
