On August 6, at 2:28 a.m., officers responded to an assault call on the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk adjacent to the 1600 block of Lower Water Street. Officers located a 54-year-old man with serious facial, but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital by EHS Hospital for treatment. Four men, all in their early 20’s, believed to be involved in the assault were located a short distance away and were taken into custody. The matter remains under investigation and charges are anticipated.
