On August 22, 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress in the 0-100 block of Ancona Place in Dartmouth. The homeowners, a 48-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman heard a loud bang at their front door and awoke to find 2 masked men in their home, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The homeowners yelled at the men to get out of the house and the 2 suspects fled the house and were last seen running down the street. Nothing was taken from the home and no one was injured. The 2 suspects are described as being in their late teens or early twenties and both were wearing dark coloured hoodies and had their faces covered as well. The matter is still under investigation but it is not believed to be a random incident.
