On August 25, at 9:40 p.m., a resident of Acacia Street in Dartmouth was alerted by her dog barking. She turned on some lights in the house and found a male youth in her bathroom. She fled to a neighbour’s house and contacted police. The suspect fled on foot but a K-9 unit assisted and tracked the suspect to a residence on Mason Street where a 17-year-old male youth was arrested. The suspect will appear in Halifax Provincial Youth court this morning. There were no weapons or violence and nothing appeared to be taken from the house.
