On September 11, at about 7 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a business parking lot in Bayers Lake Industrial Park for a weapons complaint. Police received a complaint that an individual was observed taking possession of a long barrelled firearm with the weapon wrapped in a jacket. Officers checked the area but could not locate the vehicle. A license plate was provided and East Division members attended the address on Glenwood Avenue and observed the vehicle arriving with three occupants. A high risk takedown was executed and the three individuals that were in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. A replica C-8 rifle was seized wrapped in a jacket from the lap of one of the passengers. The three people, two men and a woman were interviewed and released without charges.
