On January 30, at 2:02 a.m., Halifax Regional Polices responded to a call of a man with a gun that was attempting to get into a business in the 1600 block of Barrington Street. The suspect was described as a white male, heavy set, beard, dark hair, blue hoody and baggie jeans. A short time later, the suspect was observed walking south on Grafton Street and was taken into custody without incident. Officers located and seized a knife in a sheath as well as a replica semi automatic pistol. The 21-year-old man will be attending court today to face numerous weapons related offences.
