At 10 p.m. on May 15, East Quick Response members observed two men walking on Farthington Place in Dartmouth, carrying what they thought was a firearm. When the members approached the men, they fled on foot and were pursued by officers. With the assistance of several patrol members, the two suspects were arrested on Leaman Drive a short time later. A firearm was located where the suspects attempted to discard it. The two men are currently in police custody and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 16 to face numerous weapons offences.
