On July 14, 2:15 a.m. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to the 0-100 block of Lahey Road in Dartmouth after a man was shot. The victim, a 50-year-old Dartmouth man, was located at the rear of an address in this block. He informed officers that he was walking down Lahey Road when he was approached by two men who demanded all of his possessions. At some point during this confrontation one of the men produced a firearm and shot the victim in the torso area. The victim ran up a driveway and yelled for help. The two suspects fled the area on foot. The only description available is that one was a white male and one was a black male. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS with life-threatening injuries.Officers are still currently on scene conducting the investigation.
