15-17829 Fraudulent use of bank card

Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance to help identify a man who used a lost bank card.

On February 7 at 1:39 p.m., a woman called police to report a fraud involving her bank account. The woman advised that she had lost her debit card in December and that it had been used at bank machines in the Portland Street area of Dartmouth, by an unknown suspect without her consent. Between January 1 and 29, the bank card was fraudulently used three times for a total loss of $1,388.25.

Police are releasing pictures of a man who used the lost bank card. He is described as a white man in his late teens. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark winter jacket with a hood and light-coloured pants.
