On February 8, at 10:24 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a Robbery at Menz and Mollyz Bar, located at 2182 Gottingen Street. The bartender called police after a man entered the business, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.The bartender was not injured during the incident.
Officers located the man a short distance away from the scene and arrested him without incident. Thirty-seven-year-old Jeffrey Michael MacNeil of Halifax was held in custody overnight; he will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face weapons and robbery-related charges.
