15-43814 - Traffic Stop Results in Drug Seizure

On April 4, at  9:15 p.m., Halifax Regional Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Bloomfield Street and Gottingen Street in Halifax after observing a Motor Vehicle Act violation. Subsequent to that traffic stop a large quantity of drugs were seized. A 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both of Halifax, were arrested and charged with three counts of Trafficking in Substance contrary to S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both were released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on May 26, 2015.
