On April 8, at 6:55 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a stabbing in 5500 block of Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Several individuals were fighting and one was stabbed during the incident. The suspect fled on foot and was chased by witnesses, and a short time later he was arrested by officers assigned to the Central Quick Response unit. Officers checked the area and the weapon was also recovered. The 27-year-old male victim from Halifax was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused, a 20-year-old man from Halifax will attend court on Wednesday to face numerous weapons and assault-related charges.
