On April 28, at approximately 11:38 p.m., officers were conducting surveillance in the 2400 block of Gottigen Street after receiving information that a man residing in the area was in possession of a firearm. Officers arrested the 57-year-old man without incident outside his residence and he was in possession of a loaded sawed off shot gun. The man has been held in custody overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today on numerous weapons related charges.
