On May 4, at 2:40 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of Almon Street and Robie Street in Halifax for a report of a cyclist struck by a vehicle. HRP’s preliminary investigation indicates that a 71-year-old man was cycling eastbound along Almon Street near Robie Street when a vehicle also travelling eastbound turned and struck him. The cyclist was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life threatening injuries. This matter remains under investigation at this time to determine if any charges are warranted.
