On May 19, officer arrested 19-year-old Donavin Andrew Diggs without incident at an apartment on Nova Court in Dartmouth. He faces charges of robbery and breach of probation. He appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court the same day and was remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility. He will return to court on May 27.

Yesterday afternoon, patrol officers arrested 24-year-old Jordan Matthew Joyce at a residence on Deganis Drive in Cole Harbour. He was held in custody overnight and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face a charge of robbery.

On May 6, at 8:55 p.m., officers responded to a Robbery at The Salvation Army Thift Store located at 485 Herring Cove Road in Halifax. The suspect entered the store and threatened the cashier by stating he would shoot him if he didn’t give him money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The cashier did not see a firearm as the suspect kept his hands in the pocket of his hoodie until he grabbed the money. A K-9 unit attended the scene but was unable to locate the suspect who fled on foot. GIS is handling the investigation.

Suspect Description:

Light complected black man, 20-25 yrs old, 5’9”, thin moustache otherwise clean shaven, wearing beige/brown hoodie and blue baggy jeans, red paint was observed on the hoodie and jeans, may have been wearing boots.
