On May 26, at 7:15 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint the 6100 block of Almon Street in Halifax  A 31-year-old man reported he had a verbal argument with another man, in the lobby of a building, the suspect then pulled a knife and chased the victim on foot to the parking lot. The suspect entered his pickup truck and drove the truck at the victim, attempting to hit him. He narrowly missed the victim and the truck hit the building, before fleeing the area. The investigation was continued by the General Investigation Section. The victim was not injured during the incident. 

Later in the evening a 27-year-old suspect was arrested on Waterfront Drive in Bedford, the truck was also located and seized. The suspect is currently in police custody and will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court this morning, charged with two counts of assault with a weapon,  Dangerous Operation Motor Vehicle and possession of a weapon.
