Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 (Halifax, NS) - The Halifax Regional Municipality is pleased to announce that applications are now available for the 2015-2016 Interim Grants to Professional Arts Organizations Program. This program provides funding to registered not-for-profit arts organizations through two categories: operating assistance and project assistance.
Applications for both streams can be found online at www.halifax.ca/culture/Opportunities/index.php. Applications must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 31, 2015. Please review the application forms and program guidelines for a comprehensive list of submission requirements.
The Interim Grants to Professional Arts Organizations Program has been developed in relation to recommendations from the municipality’s former Special Arts and Culture Advisory Committee. Staff responded to these recommendations in a report to Regional Council, formalized subsequently in an Administrative Order which can be accessed at www.halifax.ca/legislation/adminorders/documents/2014-007-ADM.pdf.
As per the terms outlined in Administrative Order 2014-007-ADM please note that the Interim Grants to Professional Arts Organizations Program will accept applications annually between Feb. 1 and Mar. 31.
