A man faces charges of aggravated assault on his child.
On August 13 at approximately 6 p.m., police attended the IWK Health Centre in relation to a suspected case of child abuse involving a six-week old baby who had sustained life-threatening injuries. As a result of the police investigation, members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit have laid charges against the child’s father.
The 37-year-old man from Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of aggravated assault and failing to provide necessaries of life.
