Officers have arrested a man in relation to a stabbing that occurred earlier this week in Halifax.
At 12:44 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, officers responded to a stabbing outside the Halifax Central Library on Spring Garden Road. Officers located a 35-year-old man who had been stabbed in the face by a male suspect who left the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday, March 20 at 10:22 p.m. officers arrested a 23-year-old male suspect without incident in the 100 Block of Wyse Road, Dartmouth. He's scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday, March 23 to face charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation.
