Attempted abduction

Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who attempted to abduct a woman last evening in Dartmouth. 

At 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, a 19-year-old woman was walking in the area of Brule and Burke Streets when a man in a white car pulled up beside her and asked if she wanted a drive. The woman ignored him and continued on her way. The driver pulled up beside her again, exited the car, grabbed her by her shoulders and told her to get into the car. The woman was able to get away from the suspect and contact police.  

The suspect is described as a white man with blonde hair that is shaved on the sides, wearing a blue vest, blue jeans and a baseball cap. The man spoke English but had an unknown accent. He was driving a white car, similar to an Audi.

Investigators in the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone who has any information on this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
