Friday, March 18, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that crews will be working this weekend on multiple traffic signal control boxes along Barrington Street.

On Saturday, crews will be working at Barrington and Sackville streets, as well as at Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road.

On Sunday, crews will return to Barrington Street to perform work at the Duke Street intersection, and at the Barrington/Morris streets intersection.

Crews will start work both days at 7 a.m., and will continue until 1 p.m., assuming the weather co-operates (upgrades cannot be completed if it’s raining or snowing).

The traffic lights at the intersections will be flashing red in all directions while work is underway. Motorists are reminded intersections become four-way stops when traffic lights are flashing red.

The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
