Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Barrington Street in Halifax will be closed to traffic this weekend to facilitate the installation of municipal services to a nearby private development.
Barrington Street will shut down at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, between Prince and Sackville streets, and remain closed until about 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30. The street will not reopen overnight. At least one sidewalk along that block will remain open during for pedestrians and access to local businesses.
Halifax Transit buses will detour around the closure. Motorists should expect some delays and are advised to find alternative routes, if possible. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this closure may cause.
