Wednesday, March 30, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Bishop Street in Halifax will be closed to vehicle traffic this weekend while crews connect municipal services to a nearby private development.
Bishop Street will shut down between Hollis Street and Lower Water Street starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 1, and remain closed until 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 3.
Traffic control crews will be on site to accommodate local traffic looking to access the underground parking garage in that area. As well, the sidewalk on the south side of Bishop Street will remain open for pedestrians.
Motorists are asked to use alternative routes for the duration of the street closure. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this closure or the work may cause.
