Break and enter charges

Two men are facing charges after a break and enter yesterday afternoon in Dartmouth.

At 2 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a break and enter in-progress in the 0-100 block of Cuisack Street. Two men entered the rear of a residence while carrying swords and wearing masks.  The men left the residence once the lone occupant of the residence exited the front door and yelled.  The female resident observed the men drive away in an SUV type car.  The woman was not injured physically.

Officers observed the suspects a short distance away in an SUV. A traffic stop was conducted and both men were arrested without incident.

The men, 29-year-old Clancy St Clair McInnis of Dartmouth and 27-year-old Jacob Ralph England of Halifax, face charges of attempt break and enter, mischief, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, disguise with intent and conveying threats. England also faces a charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg. Both are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
