Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a man in relation to an attempted break and enter earlier this week in Bedford.
At 2:53 a.m. on March 11, officers responded to a report of a break and enter in-progress in the 300 block of Southgate Drive. A man attempted to break into a residence but was unsuccessful and fled the area in a vehicle. Through the investigation, officers identified a potential suspect and obtained a warrant to search a residence on Dundas Street in Dartmouth.
During the search, a 29-year-old Dartmouth man was arrested without incident. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of break and enter with intent to commit offence, mischief and failure to comply with recognizance/undertaking.
